Information we collect
We may process information you submit through membership, challenge or contact features, including names, ratings, preferred dates, contact details and messages. Signed-in features may store chess games and account identifiers. The site also uses privacy-conscious traffic reporting; visitor identifiers are hashed and IP addresses are not stored in the first-party analytics system.
How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, organise chess activity, provide member features, save and retrieve games, improve the chess engines and website, measure performance, prevent abuse and protect the service.
Cookies and analytics
Essential browser storage may remember sessions and unfinished games. Google Analytics and first-party analytics may measure site usage. Where required, optional analytics should only run after consent.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be processed by hosting, authentication, analytics, email and security providers acting to support the website. Flux Knights does not sell user lists or personal information.
Sale or transfer of the website
The domain, brand, public content and technical assets may be sold or transferred to a new owner. Member accounts, enquiry records, identifiable saved games and other identifiable personal information are not included unless affected users are notified in advance and the transfer is permitted by applicable law. A sale may instead use a clean installation without the user database.
Retention, security and your choices
Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purposes, security, dispute handling and legal obligations. Reasonable safeguards are used. You may request access, correction or deletion by contacting us.
Bug and error reports
When you report a problem, or when the website detects an unexpected browser error, we may record the affected page, browser type, technical error details and any description you submit. These reports are used only to diagnose, secure and improve Flux Knights. Do not include passwords or private information in a report.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, ownership or legal requirements change. Material changes affecting personal information will be communicated where required before they take effect.
